Produced at The Glenturret Distillery in Highland Scotland, this 2024-edition “Triple Wood” is distilled from their signature un-peated new-make and matured in a blend of American oak (ex-bourbon), European oak sherry-seasoned casks and European oak (secondary). The three distinct wood influences are chosen to showcase the evolving maturing stocks of the distillery and to highlight the spirit’s inherent fruity character. The whisky is bottled at 44% ABV, in natural colour, and non-chill filtered—to preserve its full texture and clarity of flavour.

Tasting Profile

• Nose: A welcoming scent of vanilla toffee and soft malt sweetness opens the glass. Bright citrus notes—lemon peel, pear drop—layer in, followed by warming spice from the sherry-oil casks: gentle ginger and cinnamon.

• Palate: Smooth and medium in body. The change in barrels shows up as honeyed fruit (pear, peach), creamy vanilla silkiness and a subtle oak tannin undercurrent. The European sherry influence adds depth—teak-wood spice and warm nutmeg, while the bourbon barrels bring lighter caramel and fresh fruit brightness.
