Arette Reposado Tequila

Arette Reposado offers a beautifully balanced reposado experience: ripe cooked agave meets creamy vanilla and baking spice, balanced with subtle oak and peppery warmth. It's both drinkable and mixable, earning accolades for quality, versatility, and approachability. A standout value among mid-tier aged tequilas.

🌾 Origins & Production

  • Crafted from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave at the Orendain family's El Llano distillery (NOM 1109) in Tequila, Jalisco, preserving traditional, artisanal practicesĀ

  • Aged for 6–8 months (with some batches up to 11 months) in American oak barrels, including ex-bourbon staves, imparting nuanced oak character while maintaining agave freshness

šŸ‘ƒ Aroma

  • Nose: Inviting mix of cooked agave, vanilla, cinnamon, caramel, and subtle herbal or floral touches.

  • Barrel influence adds oak spice and a slight sea-salty/mineral noteĀ

šŸ‘… Palate & Texture

  • Medium-bodied and smooth, with a silky texture.

  • Flavors include sweet agave, butterscotch, baking spices (cinnamon, cloves), citrus peel, peppery warmth, and a hint of oak-char spiceĀ

  • Well-balanced sweetness and spice, with light mint or herbal lift in some batches .

šŸ”„ Finish

  • Medium-length finish featuring lingering vanilla, pepper, oak spice, and a gentle agave sweetness.

  • A slight grassy or vegetal edge and occasional bitters add complexityĀ

⭐ Reception & Character

  • Generally rated 83–86/100 by enthusiasts; praised for its balance, character, and value—often recommended over peers like Cimarron and AltosĀ

  • A praised ā€œmid-rangeā€ reposado: more than just a mixer, yet still ideal for cocktailsĀ

šŸø Serving & Use

  • Tasty neat, on the rocks, or in premium cocktails—especially Palomas, Margaritas, or an Old Fashioned riff.

  • Forms a smoother, more nuanced base than Blanco, while avoiding the wood-forward character of AƱejosĀ
