Arette Artesenal Suave Anejo Tequila

Arette Artesenal Suave Anejo Tequila

Arette Suave AƱejo is a masterful expression of aged tequila: polished, creamy, and layered—rich in caramel, oak spice, and agave sweetness, yet anchored by warming spice, minerality, and balance. A sophisticated sipper that rivals more premium offerings.

🌾 Origins & Aging

  • Produced at Arette’s El Llano distillery (NOM 1109) in Jalisco by the Orendain family—crafted from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave using traditional, artisanal methods

  • The ā€œSuaveā€ line is rested over 18–20 months in American white-oak ex-bourbon barrels, resulting in its rich amber color

šŸ‘ƒ Aroma

  • Nose bursts with cooked agave, vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak, with layers of black pepper, bright cherry, cucumber, and soft herbaceous and floral tones

šŸ‘… Palate & Texture

  • Full-bodied yet smooth, offering a velvety mouthfeel that balances sweet agave, caramel, and vanilla with warming baking spices—cinnamon, nutmeg, and pepper.

  • Additional notes of dark chocolate, dried tropical fruits, almond, and honeyed plum add complexity without overwhelming

šŸ‚ Finish

  • The finish is long, elegant, and dry, ending with subtle oak tannins, lingering black pepper, and nutty bitterness that appears later like a mild surprise—consistent with many reviewer notes .

⭐ Critical Reception

  • 92 pts from Wine Enthusiast, highlighting honey, almond, apple, white blossoms, and ginger‑lemon peel .

  • Highly rated by enthusiasts on Distiller (~4.5/5): "one of the best aƱejo tequilas… super smooth and well balanced" .

  • Praised on Tequila Matchmaker (scores ~86–91), offering excellent quality at its price point .

🧭 Style & Versatility

  • Elegantly balanced: oaked without heaviness, preserving the spirit’s agave core.

  • Ideal for neat sipping or luxury cocktails—a refined base for aged-style Old Fashioneds or simple but elevated tequila serves .
